Into the Wild Unknown

March 18 - 22, 2026 | 📍Umlani Bushcamp
Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa 🇿🇦

Step Into the Unknown.
Answer the Call of the Wild.

Elvis guiding a bushwalk at Umlani Bushcamp

This is not just a retreat. This is a rite of passage. A wild adventure. While there will be plenty of time for rest and reflection, this is for the woman who longs to lose herself in the vastness of nature. Each day, we will turn inward through embodiment practices while looking to nature as our guide beyond ourselves—every experience a vision quest for the soul. What is she revealing to us? Listen closely.

Who Is This For?

  • The fearless, the restless, the high-achieving woman who refuses to be tamed

  • AND The woman who is ready to exhale—to slow down and tune into herself and nature.

  • The leader who knows that expanding her edge means confronting the wild—inside and out.

  • The traveler who desires authentic experiences and craves something raw, real, and alive.

  • The seeker who knows that true transformation comes from learning to listen, surrender, and trust.

  • The free spirit who is ready to regulate and strengthen her nervous system so she can step into the unknown from a place of grounded power.

  • The humble woman who wants to meet and uplift other badass women from around the world.

what to expect on the journey

REMEMBER WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE HUMAN

The Edge of Wild: Yoga, movement, and embodiment practices to feel our edges.

The Resonance: Immersions in sound baths alongside the distant roar of a lion, the echo of a hyena call, and the hum of cicadas.

The Quest: Safari drives and bush walks, tracking animals into the wild.

The Unknown: A night spent under the stars, exposed to the elements, nothing between you and nature.

The Rituals: Tarot, journaling, stargazing, and deep conversation around the fire.

The Void: Deep rest, solitude, space to process and breathe.

The Feast: Healthy meals, rich with local flavors, nourishing body and soul.

Nothing here is mandatory. You take what you need, leave what you don’t. If your body tells you to skip meditation and sleep in, listen. If you feel the pull of a quiet moment alone instead of a group session, follow it. This experience is yours to shape. We provide the offerings; you decide how far you want to go.

location & travel info

📍Umlani bushcamp

Umlani Bushcamp is nestled deep within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, a pristine wilderness that forms part of the legendary Greater Kruger National Park. Our camp exists without fences, the only barrier is a simple high-wire fence designed to deter elephants—though, as masters of the bush, they often decide otherwise. Lions, leopards, buffalo, antelope and other wild game can—and do—wander through camp at any moment. Here, you are not just visiting the wild—you are immersed in it.

Umlani (or “Umhlani”) means “place of rest” in Shangaan, the language of the native people of this region. And that’s exactly what you will find here—a sanctuary where the wild and the soul meet in perfect harmony. You will sleep soundly and safely in your rustic, authentic rondavel, a traditional thatched-roof hut that blends seamlessly into the landscape.

meet your host

Hi, I’m Anna White, an explorer and adventurer of life. As a lifelong student of yoga, mindfulness, meditation, nervous system healing, and somatic practices, I have completed yoga teacher trainings with deep roots in the traditions of Kundalini and Anusara Hatha yoga, studying alongside my brilliant mentor Chiara de Lucia and incredible teachers Lauren Lee, Lucy McCarthy, and Suzanne Faith of the Bindu Institute. My journey has also led me to complete foundational trainings in Dance Alchemy for somatic and embodied dance with Brooke Yantzi, as well as sound healing with crystal alchemy bowls from Seattle Sound Temple.

Growing up under the legacy of my grandparents—who devoted their lives to cognitive rehabilitation therapy—I witnessed firsthand how healing the brain and nervous system can transform lives. Their work taught me that it’s possible to rewire our minds and improve our well-being from the inside out. I’m honored to continue their healing legacy by bringing my own magical blend of embodiment practices and soul medicine into the wild, where Mother Nature herself becomes our greatest teacher and healer.

As your retreat host, I invite you on a journey of exploration and transformation. I’ll be supported by Umlani’s dedicated and trusted staff, including experienced rangers who will safely guide us into the bush and a team that feels like family, taking care of our every need back at camp. Together, we will create a safe space for awakening, renewal, and profound connection to self and our natural world.

Xx

Anna
