Project Overview:

The Sound Life was a portfolio brand and lifestyle business born out of a desire to build a meaningful, financially sound life around shared passions and interests. This project was part of the 4thly Female Founder program. I developed the brand strategy, website, business strategy for each revenue stream and vertical, product and packaging design, and investor pitch.

WHITE LABEL craft coffee roasting

Craft coffee was custom roasted with our partners at Conduit Coffee Co, branded, packaged and sold through online subscriptions with three blend options. This was also a marketing strategy to create community and potential customers for future real estate ventures. This project was a prototype while I pursued a retail location and raised capital, which ultimately became the Nordland General Store through a community cooperative ownership model.

fish & Surf camp

A 4-unit fishing lodge was remodeled, designed, and sold as a turnkey Airbnb business attracting fishing and surfing travelers in Sekiu, WA.

THE MARROWSTONE BOATHOUSE

An old garage was remodeled and updated as a mother-in law suite and perfect Airbnb.

After building the Wattage Cottage and being featured on HouzzTV, we partnered with Targa Homes on an adventure to build small (not tiny!) single-family homes in sub-rural communities, starting with the Olympic Peninsula. I never made it past the fundraising phase, but I learned a LOT about running my own startup company.
